How it grew …
Jozef Coorevits founded Funeral Home Coorevits in 1947. In the 70s, the business was taken over by his son Johan and the funeral home was built in Hoeilaart. After his premature death in 1983, his wife Greta took over and headed the business for nearly 30 years.
In the late 40s, Jan Baptist Rosier founded Funeral Home Rosier. His son Marc and his wife Myriam expanded Begrafenissen Rosier with a funeral home in Huldenberg and Overijse.
In 2011, Jan Coorevits, son of Johan and Greta, became manager of Funeral Home Coorevits. He had been involved in the daily operations of the company alongside his mother for about 20 years.
In 2012, Marc Rosier was looking for a successor for his business; Jan Coorevits was looking to expand and took over Funeral Home Rosier. Both these family businesses are now amalgamated into Uitvaartverzorging Coorevits-Rosier (Funeral Services).
In 2014, the company bought a large building on the Brusselsesteenweg in Overijse. The property was completely rebuilt into a modern funeral home. 2015 saw the opening of a unique and centrally located funeral home with a meeting room, greeting rooms, spacious reception rooms, a large showroom, a print shop and offices.
The once small one-man business which primarily manufactured the coffins and was responsible for the care of the deceased, has now evolved into a solid family business with a very wide range of services. All of this was only possible with the help and support of the family and a group of loyal employees.
We invest continuously in service and quality in order to be able to provide you with optimal service now and in the future.
